About GPG

Architect Ruth Gómez Portugal González.

I am an architect based in Mexico with over seven years of experience, working across architecture, interior design, urban design, and photography. My practice focuses on comprehensive projects, from conceptual design to executive and built solutions, creating functional spaces that respond to their context and express a strong architectural identity.

For me, architecture is the intersection of nature, culture, and human life, a discipline that connects people, place, and experience.

My academic background forms the foundation of my practice. I hold a degree in Architecture from the Institute of Technology and Higher Studies of the West (ITESO) in Mexico. I complemented my studies at Corvinus University of Budapest, within the Faculty of International Relations, and later pursued Design Management studies at Yacademy in Bologna, Italy. Prior to architecture, I studied International Business at ITESO, which provided me with a strategic and interdisciplinary perspective that influences the way I approach design and project development.

Travel plays a fundamental role in shaping my architectural vision. Exposure to diverse cultures and landscapes, both in Mexico and abroad, allows me to balance local identity with contemporary innovation across all scales of work. Sustainability, collaboration, and attention to detail are core values in my practice.

Regardless of scale, I approach every project with the same level of care, dedication, and commitment to creating meaningful, lasting spaces.
